LETTERING & FINISHES
There are three main types of letter cutting.
The first and most commonly used is
the V cut, this is a letter that is cut at a 45 degree angle to each side creating a 90 degree V cut. The second is raised lettering, this is where the background is removed to reveal the letter.
Lastly there is a combination of the two, raised lettering with a V cut to the centre.
When the carving is completed you are able to either leave as a natural cut finish, paint the lettering or gild, using 23k gold leaf.
